Objectives of the ECAA:

(a) to provide liaison between the members and the College;

(b) to promote continuing association and education among the members;

(c) to foster a spirit of fellowship among all those eligible for membership in the association;

(d) to support the best interests and new initiatives and projects of Emmanuel College

Executive Office: President

Summary:

  • to fulfill the objectives as set out in the Constitution
  • to work with the Alumni Office regarding the ECAA
  • to officiate at the Annual meeting and four executive meetings
  • to follow-up on business matters related to these meetings
  • to support Alumni/ae Days, the Fall BBQ and worship and other events
  • to support the Chair of Nominations in nominating people for positions on the executive, Board of Regents and Senate
  • to represent the ECAA on the Emmanuel College Council and its nominating committee
  • to liaise with the U of T Alumni/ae Association and Victoria University as required
  • to attend university and College functions as per invitation

Qualifications:

  • Emmanuel College Graduate
  • interest and commitment to Emmanuel College and its Alumni
  • good interpersonal skills
  • excellent communication skills
  • proven administrative and organizational skills
  • computer, word processing and email ability
  • leadership ability

Term of Office: 2 years

Hours required: approx. 8 hours/per month

Executive Office - Vice President

Summary:

  • to attend and contribute at least three of the four executive meetings and the annual meeting
  • to be of assistance to the President where/whenever needed
  • to attend meetings and events on behalf of the President
  • to be a part of the planning team for Alumni/ae Days
  • to attend and support the activities of the Association such as Alumni/ae Days, Fall BBQ/worship and others
  • to serve on the nominating committee of the Association

Qualifications:

  • Emmanuel College Graduate
  • interest and commitment to Emmanuel College and its Alumni
  • good interpersonal skills
  • excellent communication skills
  • proven administrative and organizational skills
  • computer, word processing and email ability
  • leadership ability

Term of Office: 1-2 years

Hours required: approx. 4 hours/per month

Executive Office: Member-at-Large

Summary:

  • to attend and contribute at minimum of three of the four executive meetings and annual meeting
  • to assist the planning team for Alumni/ae Days
  • to attend and support the activities of the Association such as Alumni/ae Days, the Fall BBQ and worship and others

Qualifications:

  • Emmanuel College alumnus/a
  • interest and commitment to Emmanuel College and its Alumni

  • proven administrative and organizational skills

Term of Office: one 3 year term, renewable once

Time required: approx. 4 hours/month
