This year, the Azerbaijani Community in Canada will widely celebrate the 880th anniversary of Nizami Ganjavi, one of the greatest representatives of theosophical tradition in Azerbaijan. He contributed extensively to Islamic literary heritage, which have transcended the borders of Azerbaijan to influence the literature of many lands.

This event, co-organized by Emmanuel College's Centre for Religion and Its Contexts and the Azerbaijani Women’s Support Centre, will focus on human values and being an ideal person which is called al-insan al-kamil in the mystical traditions of Islam.
